Keeping Up With Scheduled Auto Maintenance

Filter Replacements

There are two primary filters that are used by vehicles to help maximize efficiency and performance. These are the air filter and the fuel filter. Each of these prevents debris from getting inside the engine where it could cause damage.

Transmission Service

Both automatic and manual transmission vehicles require routine transmission service. During this maintenance the transmission fluid will be drained, the transmission pan will be removed and cleaned, then the pain will be reinstalled with a new pan gasket. if your vehicle is equipped with a transmission filter it will be cleaned or replaced, prior to reassembly. Once put back together new fluid will be added.

Belts & Hoses

Most vehicles use rubber belts and hoses that need to be replaced as they wear out. This includes the timing belt. If your car is equipped with a timing belt do not put off having it replaced. If you do it could snap resulting in major engine damage.
